Target group: MUI scientists who published (only first authorships or equal contributions) a peer-reviewed publication with outstanding science within the last 12 months

ÖAW DOC-Stipendium 2022
Target group: highly qualified doctoral candidates of all ages who completed their Diplom or Master’s degree no more than two years prior to applying (dated from 1 January of the year of submission),
are writing their doctoral or PhD thesis at an Austrian university, can prove that they fulfil the admission requirements for doctoral/PhD studies at their respective university, and submit a project exposé and a reference from their doctoral supervisor.

COST Actions
New COST Actions in the health sector - nomination to the Management Committee possible! For a number of COST Actions there is the possibility of being nominated to the Management Committee of the Actions via the FFG eCall. Take the opportunity to actively participate in multidisciplinary networks, e.g. in the fields of various cancer diseases, osteoarthritis, genome editing, dementia research, Parkinson's disease, antibiotic resistance or chronic inflammation without the need to apply for a new COST Action.

Open Calls
ERC Calls open for submission
The 2022 Call for ERC Starting grant projects is actually open for submission. Young researchers - between 2 and 7 years after obtaining their PhD degree can apply for grants worth up to 1,5 M€ for 5 years. The deadline of this call will be 25 October 2022, 17:00 Brussels time.
Additionally the call for ERC Synergy grants also opened in July. For this type of projects, small groups of two to four principal investigators jointly apply for a project with a maximum duration of up to 6 years. The project budget can be up to 10 M€.
The deadline for this call is 08 November 2022, 17:00 Brussels time

MSCA Doctoral Networks open Call
The 2022 call for Marie Sklodovska Curie Networks alos is open for submission. The deadline for these collaborative projects is 15 November 2022. Please consult the official call webpage for detailed informations here

Innovative Health Initiative - first calls open
The Innovative Health Initiative IHI opened the first one- and two-stage calls on June 28th!
