BMA Karenzstelle im Neurologie Labor

Im Neuroimmunologischen Labor (Leitung: Prof. Florian Deisenhammer) der Neurologischen Klinik Innsbruck kommt ab 1.10.2017 eine BMA-Karenzstelle zur Ausschreibung. Vorläufige Befristung auf 1 Jahr mit Möglichkeit zur Verlängerung. Die Tätigkeit umfasst Liquordiagnostik, Diagnostik neurologischer Serummarker und Medikamenten-Spiegelbestimmungen.
Methodisch kommen photometrische, elektrophoretische, ELISA, Massenspektrometrie, zytologische und Immunfluoreszenz-Verfahren zur Anwendung.

Voraussetzung: abgeschlossene BMA Ausbildung.

Beschäftigungsausmaß: Frei vereinbar zwischen 24 und 40 Wochenstunden, Montag bis Freitag. Keine Nacht- oder Wochenenddienste.

Dienstgeber: Tirol-Kliniken.

Postdoc in Cardiovascular Epidemiology

Scientific environment - The Neurovascular Research Group within the Department of Neurology, Medical University Innsbruck, aims to advance understanding and prevention of cardiovascular disease through epidemiological. In the ongoing K-Project VASCage (www.i-med.ac.at/vascage/) we conduct the Bruneck Study (“Bruneck Project of Health in the Elderly”). Over 27 years ago, we have recruited 1,000 participants into this study and have, since then, recorded the occurrence of cardiovascular events and other age-related disease.

Content of the postdoctoral work - The work of the postdoc will be to contribute as well as lead epidemiological research on cardiovascular diseases by analysis of Bruneck Study data. The precise topic can be adapted according to the scientific interest of the candidate. The post holder will help record study data, conduct statistical analyses, co-supervise PhD students, and compose scientific papers.

Profile of qualifications - Applicants should hold a degree in epidemiology, mathematics, or statistics (or should be about to complete their studies imminently). The post-holder should have a systematic and meticulous approach to working with good organisational, communication and interpersonal skills. Previous experience with the statistical packages Stata and/or SAS is desirable.

Employment - The post-holder will be employed at the Department of Neurology of the Medical University of Innsbruck from as soon as possible up to 30 September 2018. The salary will be defined according to the FWF standard personnel salaries.
