Irina-Roxana Deleanu (Nat) MD PhD PD

Dr. Deleanu graduated as Dipl. Eng. in 1993 (Polytechnic University of Bucharest), as MD in 1998 (University of Medicine and Pharmacy “Carol Davila” of Bucharest) and as Laboratory Medicine Specialist in 2006. She received the PhD in Cellular and Molecular Medicine in 2002 from the University of Medicine and Pharmacy “Carol Davila”, Bucharest. Following a postdoctoral fellowship in human pluripotent stem cells and neuronal differentiation at Karolinska Institutet, Stockholm, Sweden (2002-2005, 2006-2007), and at CNR Rome Italy (2005-2006), she became University Assistant (2008-2012) and senior scientist/Assistant Professor (2012-2021) at the Medical University of Innsbruck in the Institute of Neuroscience (2008-2021) and in the Institute of Neuroanatomy (2021-present). She habilitated in Neuroscience at the Medical University of Innsbruck in 2014, providing courses in Stem Cells and Development for master and PhD students, and supervising PhD/master theses and postdoctoral projects
