Tenure track professorships
according to § 99 (5) UG

The successful applicant will initiate an employment relationship with the Medical University of Innsbruck. After having completed a successful evaluation, she/he will be offered a qualification agreement, after 18 months at the latest. Following the fulfillment of this qualification agreement, based on a positive evaluation, the employment relationship will be transferred into a tenured contract as an associate professor.

Details can be found in the Austrian University Law (§ 99 (5) UG) as well as the Betriebsvereinbarung über Inhalt und Modalitäten von Qualifizierungsvereinbarungen gem. § 27(8) Kollektivvertrag für die ArbeitnehmerInnen der Universitäten (Uni-KV).

To allow a fair comparison of all applicants candidates are asked to submit the information detailed below within the advertised timeframe, in German or English, electronically (pdf files) via laufbahnprofessur@i-med.ac.at.

Required application documents

  1. CV
  2. Copy of the relevant graduation document
  3. Summary and documentation concerning research and teaching achievements in the relevant area of research
    • previous experience in conceiving and acquiring third party funding as well as leading a respective project
    • teaching activities
    • list of references including impact factor scores

          or

    • certificate of a `Habilitation´ at the Medical University of Innsbruck or a comparable qualification
    • previous and current third party funding
  1. Positions in academic self-government, if applicable
  2. Information relevant with respect to other requirements of the advertisement

Additional requirements in case of a applying for position involving medical patient care:

  1. Specialization degree
  2. Proof of fulfilling the criteria for entry into the Austrian Medical Chamber´s list of licensed MDs in Austria
  3. Proof of German language skills with a minimal requirement of the B2 level according to the European reference frame
  4. Documentation of clinical experience
