Working Group for Equal Treatment Issues (Arbeitskreis für Gleichbehandlungsfragen = AKGl)

The primary task of the AKGl is to counteract discrimination based on gender.

The AKGl is also responsible for discrimination issues based on ethnicity, relgion or belief, sexual orientation or age.

If you experience such discrimination you can contact the AKGl or the office of the working group. The AKGl provides a safe space for your concerns and they will be treated confidentially. We offer active support and assistance. We will only take the steps that you are prepared to take of your own accord. In agreement with you, we will then actively take action against the discrimination.

The AKGl will as well give advice and support if you experience bullying besides the named discriminations.

Not least the AKGl is a point of contact for those affected by sexual harassment.

The brochures on sexual harassment address mangers, employees and students. They contain information on what sexual harassment is, what consequences it may have for affected people, strategies against sexual harassment, the legal situation an what can be done about sexual harassment. Therefore the brochures intent is to show how to support affected people and and where to find contact points for affected people.

Third Sex Option:

People whose biological sex is not clearly male or female have the option of having their gender entered in the Central Civil Status Register and in civil status documents changed to the term "divers".
