Professor Monika Ritsch-Marte at IPAM

Professor Monika Ritsch-Marte is currently invited as a guest fellow at the Institute for Pure and Applied Mathematics (IPAM) for its Fall 2022 Program on Computational Microscopy from September 12 to December 16 at UCLA in Los Angeles. IPAM’s famous long programs aim at bringing together senior and junior applied mathematicians, physicists, chemists, materials scientists, engineers and biologists to discuss and debate on the current status and future perspectives of modern microscopy using computation, mathematics and modeling. IPAM provides a scientific environment where new collaborations can begin and create active working research groups centered on the topic of the program. Four workshops entitled ‘Diffractive Imaging with Phase Retrieval’, ‘Mathematical Advances for Multi-Dimensional Microscopy’, ‘Cryo-Electron Microscopy and Beyond’ and ‘Multi-Modal Imaging with Deep Learning and Modeling’ span the scope. The program will be concluded with a culminating retreat at Lake Arrowhead in December 2022 where the outcome of the discussions will be summarized.
