Biobank der Medizinischen Universität Innsbruck und der Tirol Kliniken/ Biobank of the Medical University Innsbruck and the Tirol Kliniken

With about 3000 students and around 1800 employees, the Medical University of Innsbruck (MUI) is the most important medical research and teaching institution in western Austria and a regular university for many students from Tyrol, South-Tyrol and Vorarlberg.
Aiming the focus on infections, immunity and transplantation, neurosciences, oncology as well as genetics, epigenetics and genomics, the Medical University of Innsbruck pools on-top medicine and research for the wellbeing of its patients.

Proceeding from that, both the Medical University Innsbruck and the Tirol Kliniken are responsible for the Biobank Innsbruck. It consists of numerous sample collections from the main areas of scientific research in the MUI and is currently consolidated and aligned for future projects.
