Research Service and Innovation Department

We have a wide range of responsibilities in the field of research servicing

The areas of responsibility are:

• Provision of information on current external funding, via consultations, newsletters, homepage and events
• Support and assistance with applying for externally funded projects
• Administrative support with external funding and monitoring
• Supporting young scientists via MUI START and coaching of young scientists
• Intramural research funding
• Technology transfer, spin-offs, protection of intellectual property rights, knowledge and technology transfer at MUI
• Participation in the WEST knowledge transfer centre (WTZ West)
• Establishment of contacts and collaborations cooperation with the business community
• Preparation of information on research infrastructure
• Maintenance and expansion of international, national and regional research networks (Eurolife, EU projects, life sciences cluster, ARGE FoFö)
• Research evaluation
• Research documentation (FLD)
• Performance-based allocation of funds (LOM)
• Bibliometrics and citation analysis
• University rankings
