Research and cooperation projects with industry

The university supports its scientists in their collaboration with industry. The focus is on knowledge transfer and close cooperation with companies in order to develop innovative solutions for current challenges. Scientific findings are jointly developed in order to break new ground in various sectors.

The TTO of the FSI supports the scientists in the

  • Application for funding programs
  • the preparation of collaborations and contract research (non-clinical area)
  • the budgeting process (non-clinical area)
  • the preparation of contracts, particularly in the negotiation of IP regulations and budgets.

Third-party funding guideline

Third-party funding has become an essential component of research funding for universities. Therefore, the Rectorate of the Medical University of Innsbruck (MUI) is committed to providing its employees with the best possible organizational, legal and commercial-administrative support in the acquisition of third-party funds and the handling of these projects. The third-party funding guideline of 19.12.2014 and supplement of 11.07.2024 regulates the handling of all third-party funding activities at the Medical University of Innsbruck.
