Information for pregnant or nursing students

Students who are pregnant or with caregiving responsibilities are also entitles to take a leave of absence.

If you do not make us e of this right, you must note that the principles of the Maternity Protection Act 1979 (“MSchG” BGBI No. 221/1979 in the currently valid version) are to be applied analogously for your protection and the protection of your child. Relevant stress factors are listed in §2a par. 2 MSchG.

The Rectorate of the Medical University of Innsbruck has made the following stipulations regarding maternity protection for pregnant and nursing students within the framework of the house and use regulations.
