General information

In which language is the Program in Molecular Medicine taught?

The language of instruction of this study program is English.


How often does the QMM-MSc admission procedure take place?

Taking into account the available study places, applicants are admitted in the winter as well as in the summer semester.


In which language does the admission procedure take place?

The QMM-MSc admission procedure is generally held in German but is also possible in English.


How often can I take part in the admission procedure?

Participation in the admission procedure is unlimited (check out the regulations).


What are the admission options for the QMM-SCc?

There are two options for an application for the admission procedure:
a) Admission procedure with selection interview
b) Fix study place offer without selection interview


Who may participate in the admission procedure?

  • Persons, who have completed a Bachelor’s Program in Molecular Medicine at the University of Innsbruck or are in the final phase of such a program.
  • Persons who have completed at Bachelor’s, Diploma or Master’s Program that is related to Molecular Medicine at an approved post-secondary domestic or foreign educational institution or are in the final phase of such a program.

Is the result of the admission procedure valid for the next study year?

No, your result is exclusively valid for the study year for which you have passed the admission procedure.
You can take a leave of absence after admission if there are important reasons for doing so.

 

Registration

When and where can I find the registration for the QMM-MSc?

All registration information can be found at the website „Admission/admission procedure Master Program Molecular Medicine“. Online registration takes place via the Webportal.


Can I attend the admission procedures PHARM_SCI, Medicine/Dentistry in the same year?

Yes, provided the dates do not overlap.


I registered for the admission procedure last year and would like to register again this year. Can I register this year with my processing number from last year?

No, your processing number is only valid for one year.


How can I make sure to be registered for the admission procedure?

Immediately after your registration you will get an e-mail confirmation. But your registration for the admission test is only valid once you have paid the cost sharing and have uploaded all required documents in time and in full.

 

Cost sharing

How much is the co-payment for the QMM-MSc admission procedure?

Your cost sharing amounts to EUR 60.


Until when do I have to make the payment of the cost sharing?

The cost sharing must be paid into the account of the Medical University of Innsbruck within the registration period. The registration for the admission procedure is only valid, provided that your co-payment has been paid in full and in time.


How will the cost sharing be used?

The cost contribution serves the universities to cover the cost of the admission procedure, such as e.g. staff and resources, printing costs etc.


Will I get my cost sharing back if I don’t participate in the admission procedure?

No, there is no entitlement to a refund (see information of the cost sharing as well as the regulations).


Will I get my cost sharing back if I miss the deadline for the upload or my upload doesn’t meet the formal criteria?

No. You will only be refunded a difference surpassing the actual cost sharing upon request. ein.

 

Selection interview

How and when will I be informed whether I am invited to a selection interview?

A maximum of 50 study applicants are invited to selection interviews. They will get their invitation to the interview sent to their QMM-account approx. 2 weeks before the interview. An e-mail will inform you on the receipt of the invitation.


Is it possible to have the selection interview online?

The selection interviews are carried out face-to-face only.


What do I do if I am ill on the day of the interview or cannot attend for other reasons? Can I postpone the date?

Alternative dates in the event of being prevented from attending are not available as a matter of principle.
