Dr. Johannes und Hertha Tuba-Prize
Dr. Johannes and Hertha Tuba Prize
The Dr. Johannes and Hertha Tuba Foundation is offering the amount of 10,000 euros for a published scientific work or particularly outstanding scientific activities in the field of gerontology and geriatrics (aging research).
The publications are intended to support the transfer of knowledge between research and practice; in particular, they aim to promote the application of fundamental knowledge to practice, the generation of practical experience for research, and the scientific evaluation of gerontological practice. The key assessment criteria are the relevance, topicality, originality, methodology, comprehensiveness and clarity of the submitted works.
In a broader sense, gerontological papers may address all aspects of the ageing process. Submitted papers must not have been published more than three years ago. Papers may only be submitted by the corresponding author or with the author’s prior consent. A particularly outstanding scientific activity in the field of gerontology and geriatrics could be an innovation, e.g. aids to make life easier for the very elderly, or a series of scientific publications or a book related to aging research.
