Superresolution microscopy: gated STED
CFB/microscopy now offers access to the novel superresolution technology. The MUI Leopold-Franzens University (LFU) have cooperated and purchased an SP8 gSTED (Leica) a very good and expensive instrument, which is based on the gated STED superresolution method.
It is located in the rooms of CFB/microscopy within the CCB. Access will be granted to all qualified scientists of both universities, according to the agreement between the two universities. In order to qualify all interested persons are expected to be familiar with the theoretical concepts of both confocal fluorescence microscopy and of course the gated STED method. Only persons who meet these requirements will be considered as "qualified scientists" and therefore be allowed to participate in an introduction and thereafter to use the instrument. Not qualified persons will not be introducted to the system and will therefore not get access to it.
