5. How to estimate the project budget?
- realistic! appropriate! but not excessive! -
- personnel costs
- durable equipment (depreciation)
- consumables
- travel and basic allowance for subsistence
- other specific costs
- subcontracting
- overheads : real overhead costs or :
- 20% ( in general)
- 60% for SMEs, University, public bodies and research institution
note: this rate will apply to any contract made until the end of 2009. A new overheadrate will be introduced from the begin of 2010. According to the newest information from the Commission, probably there will be only minor changes.
- management costs : financial, thematic, legal, ethical and administrative management, communication with the Commission, audits, bank guarantees.
