Department of Medical Statistics, Informatics and Health Economics
Overarching aim
The department aims to develop and apply cutting-edge methods in the fields of medical statistics, informatics and epidemiology.
Fields of research
The department (i) supports researchers in collecting and analyzing medical research data, (ii) supports data processing with a focus on data protection and security, and (iii) hosts the coordinating centres of several international consortia. The department also has a research focus on optimising primary and secondary prevention of cardiovascular diseases and infectious diseases.
