The Aging of Biological Communication Systems
The PhD program "The aging of biological communication systems" is carried out in cooperation with the Innsbruck Medical University. Its main aim is to provide a theoretical and practical teaching program for students who are carrying out a thesis project on topics in medical gerontology, in particular on the mechanisms of cellular and systemic aging and the development of age-related diseases.
Specifically, the programme provides theoretical information on recent progress made in medical gerontology; laboratory courses in modern laboratory techniques, and introductions to the principles of literature research, writing papers, statistics, and ethics.
