Online booking system
- The booking system was set up by Josef Radinger/IT department; please report all problems to me.
- Stick exactly to the outlined booking procedure-thanks!
- Presently the SP5 microscope, the Cell-IQ microscope and the Imaris workstation are bookable.
- Access to each microscope requires a personal introduction by the facility manager (Contact).
- After the introduction supply your q-number by Email in order to get access to the booking system.
- Login at your webmail account.
- Choose options (little tool-like icon).
- On the right upper side of screen choose “Calendar” from drop-down menu.
- Click “Today” (see below).

- On the right side you see a list with calenders, Tick “SP5 booking system” or "Imaris workstation" only, remove other ticked boxes.

- Imaging at room temperature (fixed cells) should be done on Mondays and Tuesdays, live cell imaging from Wednesday to Friday (NEW!). 37°C should be left on from Wednesday to Friday.
- Book your slot using „New event“: Stick to the rules (< 4 hours, 2x /week, temperature...)
- In the title field enter the following data: Temperature, CO2 (if any), required Lasers (Argon includes 458, 477, 488, 496, 514, you don’t need to write each line of the Argon laser separately) and your name: FOLLOW the provided examples. This is very important because the user before you should leave any lasers ON for you (see rules); for the workstation enter a short description of the planned work.
- In the location field enter the name of your group leader (budget holder)!

- If everything works fine you should be able to see all bookings properly labeled, and to edit or delete only your own bookings. If not, please report to me.
- Plan your experiment carefully to avoid extensive modifications of your bookings.
- Start on time and finish on time with your experiment (exception last minute booking, see rules).
- After booking your slot should be visible immediately on the screen-CHECK IT.
Also take care about a.m. /p.m. nomenclature (English system!)
- The facility manager is able to see/modify and delete all bookings and will do so in case of problems (system broken, abuse, …)
- It is strictly forbidden to delete or modify any bookings that lie in the past!
- If you create/delete your booking on short notice inform the user who is booked before you!
