Starting in October 2007 this Divison, located at the Vice-Rectorate for Teaching and Studies, is dealing with the possibilities of "Web 2.0" to facilitate and foster medical education. Advantageous assignment of "new media" is able to assist education for better usage of teaching time. Multimedia, or better "Mono-media" - because today only one technique is used - is able to enrich, endorse and also unload education.

To ensure didactic correct usage of these new techniques the divison eMUI is involved in alle decisions and activities in this field.

The directive Vice-Rector for Teaching and Studies is supported and counseled by the division eMUI.

Furthermore the division eMUI is a helping point for realization and support of ideas from teaching units and educators to improve education with "Web 2.0".
