Innsbruck Medical University
The city of Innsbruck is one of the oldest centers of academic medicine in Austria, and medicine has been a central component of the university since its foundation in 1669 - first as a faculty and, since 2004, as an independent medical university. Innsbruck Medical University considers itself to be an institution aiming at the best possible standards in the three areas of research, teaching and patient care. The close integration of theoretical instruction and practical hospital environment has always been a special feature of medicine in Innsbruck. For Innsbruck Medical University this combination is a strongpoint that it is constantly trying to expand in research as well as in teaching. Outstanding research programs can be found particularly in the five key research areas of oncoscience, neurosciences, molecular and functional imaging, infectiology and immunity and sports medicine.
ERASMUS Exchange Students
Exchange students planning to come to Innsbruck with the ERASMUS Program should send the following application documents to the Medical University of Innsbruck:
- The completed form Application for Admission of the Medical University Innsbruck
- The completed form Erasmus Certificate (Joint Study Certificate) of the Medical University Innsbruck which has to be signed by the Erasmus Coordinator of the Home University (sending institution)
- The curriculum vitae of the applicant
- The Learning Agreement with the academic plans for the time at the Medical University Innsbruck signed by the Departmental and Institiutional Coordinator of the applicant´s home university
The documents for the winter term should be sent in the original version to the address below by 01st of June 2011 for KPJ; all other documents are needed 29th of July 2011.
Deadline for the spring semester 2012 is 15th of December.
